Thur 5/9 noon LJ Harness of Cadillac of Las #Vegas presents $4,025 from Bargain Pawn to Veterans Care Foundation.

The money was raised from the auction of a gun once owned by rogue former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner. It had been hoped that the proceeds from the auction would be donated to families of his victims, but that offer was turned down. George Bramlett, owner of Bargain Pawn, then contacted LJ when looking for a local veterans organization to offer the donation, as LJ has been active in the Las Vegas community with veterans causes.

LJ in turn contacted local radio show host Jim Lytner of Veterans Talk, a show that he has appeared on in the past. Jim, through Veterans Care Foundation in Las Vegas, has been raising funds to supply the valley’s homeless veterans with personal necessities. This donation will give their efforts a big boost.

Tomorrow morning LJ will be on the air on AM 720 KDWN with Alan Stock around 8 AM to discuss the donation for our local homeless veterans. At noon he will present the check at Bargain Pawn, 1901 N. Las Vegas Blvd. The local Las Vegas TV network affiliates have indicated that they will be on hand, as well as AP news coverage.

As a founder of The Vegas Underground, LJ Harness has rallied the Las Vegas entertainment community to promote live performance and develop friendships and networking opportunities. That has created performance events with celebrities, entertainers, and musicians that have become known as the ‘The Rat Pack of the Next Generation.’

Another side of our ‘Secret Society’ is it’s activism in Las Vegas community causes, from Veterans and Toys for Tots, to the SPCA and much more. Once again we were presented an opportunity to give back to our community and help those in need. This time by creating a positive from the roots of such a tragic and senseless event.

LJ Harness ‘As Seen on TV’ next week in #Vegas, as spokes model for NV SPCA & The Vegas Underground @ LVH

On Monday 4/15 at 8:45 AM, LJ will be in the studio at KVVU Fox 5 Las Vegas with Jason Feinberg of More, talking about the Nevada SPCA ‘Animals in Wonderland’ benefit at Spanish Trail Country Club, April 25. The event is sponsored by Cadillac of Las Vegas and features several entertainers who will appear or perform.

LJ returns to the air on Thursday 4/18 at 8:45 AM he’ll be in the studios of KTNV ABC 13 Las Vegas to again promote this annual charity event to benefit the great works of the Nevada SPCA, a no-kill Animal Sanctuary.

Then on Friday 4/19 at 4 PM, LJ will be at LVH Hotel and Casino for the live show taping of ‘Las Vegas Rocks’ for The Vegas Underground. This variety show is hosted in the Shimmer Cabaret at LVH by legendary Las Vegas entertainer and show producer Tony Sacca. The Friday show then airs on Saturday at 3 PM on Cox 14 Las Vegas, as well as regionally and on the Internet. Rumor has it that our friend Paul Shortino and others from the must-see ‘Raiding the Rock Vault’ at LVH will also be part of this show.

If that isn’t enough to satisfy your need for an LJ Harness fix, you may catch him at THE Vegas Underground Monday Night Jam at the Tap House, at various shows around town to support live entertainment in Las Vegas, and for a variety of community events.

Then of course he’ll also be appearing through the week at the hottest ‘Showroom’ in Vegas… at Cadillac of Las Vegas!

The Vegas Underground goes on Top to Rock The Foundation Room. It’s happening at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip, Thursday Feb. 21, 2013, 7 - 9:30 PM! With this special night also offering Complimentary Admission!

This IS the Classic Vegas Entertainment that made the city ‘The Entertainment Capital of the World’. It’s a style most often associated with The Rat Pack and our ‘Sinatra’, Gary Anthony will honor those that started it all, but this night isn’t about crooners and show tunes, it’s Classic Rock and R&B by some of the best performers in Vegas!

His original band ECOTONIC just released their new cd “Sound Bites” on itunes & features his wife Janea Ebs and former AC/DC drummer legend Chris Slade.

Frankie Scinta - He’s headlined with his family show The Scintas, here in Las Vegas and around the country. His stage presence and wide range of vocal styles are something to see and hear.

David Perrico- Composer, Arranger, Director, Musician , and recently featured on PBS, his Pop3 Evolution band continues to be the backbone for so many Las Vegas shows and soon Pin Up at Stratosphere.

Bobby Brooks Wilson - Son of R&B great Jackie Wilson and inherited his awesome pipes, is just back from his hit European and Asian tours, and releasing his new CD.

Laura Shaffer - RKO recording artist the ‘Noir Nightingale’ is a versatile singer that has been delighting audiences all over Las Vegas.

Elisa Furr - Adding a little more ‘eye candy’ to the night, this songwriter and producer can really sing! It’s no surprise that she’s a lead vocalist with ICandy Burlesque at Planet Hollywood’s V Theater.

Ricco Diamante - ‘The Las Vegas Showman’ puts out high energy ‘old school R&B’ that wows the crowds. For that, Ricco received not one but two 2012 BMA Awards, both Entertainer of the Year and Best Performance in a Lounge.

These are just a few of the entertainers scheduled to appear, but when The Vegas Underground comes out to jam, there’s sure to be Surprise Guests joining in the fun!

Mark Giovi - His amazing voice can do it all, and has formed rock bands on both coasts and toured the world as a vocal coach, before making Las Vegas home and starring in production shows and solo acts.

LJ Harness EXPOSED on Video!

The secret is out, found on a long lost video of LJ Harness now living in #Vegas, as a mild mannered manager for Cadillac Sales and Marketing. Years ago in his long haired, wild & crazy rock drummer ‘Hoochie’ days, Larry Joe was ‘caught in the act’ in Florida in a raw performance of his youth. This hidden camera video was only recently uncovered, and for perspective, added to some recent footage. You’ll just have to watch the video to see if this is the same charming LJ you may know today, holding charity benefits and helping showcase our local Las Vegas entertainers.

WARNING: You may be shocked by what you’re about to see, and realize what is REALLY lurking under that smooth, ever smiling exterior, as some people never really change. This is very raw video, and yes, the screams of delight and passion you’ll hear in this footage are all real.

Nicolas Cage video, USMC Toys for Tots Las Vegas Celebrity Benefit Show Vegas Stars Brighten the Holidays. It was one of the highlights of the sold out Dec. 1, 2012 event held at the 1700 seat LVH Hotel and Casino Theater. This was the 4th and largest Toys for Tots show produced by LJ Harness of Cadillac of Las Vegas. LJ introduced the video by stopping the show to make an on stage cellphone call to a mystery friend, “someone who couldn’t be with us tonight.” While holding out the phone he asked the audience to wish a Merry Christmas, and the response was loud and clear from the packed house. Then this video was shown, and you could hear the roar of the crowd when they discovered it was Nicolas Cage.

The roar and applause came again as Nicolas spoke about children and family, and thanking the Marines not only for their Toys for Tots program, but for our freedom. His thanks to the many Las Vegas entertainers who volunteered to make the show possible and to the caring of the audience to support this cause, just added to the applause at it’s end. His heartwarming thought created many teary- eyes in the room that night.

There is more to this story, as Nic had been working behind the scenes for the event. His involvement added so much to it’s success of raising well over $150,000 of toys plus thousands more in cash for Toys for Tots. His status as a celebrity helped to get the word out prior to the show, and as Las Vegas entertainers became aware of it, they did what they’ve always done and eagerly volunteered their talents.

Nicolas wasn’t planning on doing a video, but attending with his wife Alice and son Kal-El. Unfortunately a conflict arose from his filming schedule for the movie ‘Joe’, being shot in Austin, TX. When this happened, he immediately offered to contribute with the making of this video. In it’s own way it became a unique opportunity for everyone there that night to experience him on a much more personal level. As LJ said when he first saw the video, “That IS so Nicolas, just as he speaks to me with such passion about so many things.”

Celebrities, entertainers, and the like have their lives held under the microscope, and so often the victims of media spin. Great actors can be so believable in a role, that they can become stereotyped with the characters they portray. When in public it can become a scene so frenzied with fans and media that they have to be sheltered from the crowds, not allowing the real person to shine through. This video allowed for everyone in the house that night to see the real man behind the curtain.

Las Vegas itself falls into this celebrity status category. Nicolas’ choice to move his family here was because he’s discovered what hides behind the marketing and perceptions the silver and small screens have created. Lurking beyond the bright lights of this world-class city is a small town filled with some big hearts. The outpouring of entertainer support, plus that of so many others who became involved with this show, are just small examples of it. There are so many more of these well attended charity events that go on in the Las Vegas valley that often go unnoticed from the masses.

For the many at the LVH Theater that night that asked to see it again, and for the many more in the community that weren’t able to see the show, we asked Nicolas if we could share it online. Again to honor the Marine Corps Reserves for their service to country, and to our local community. It also gives everyone an inspiring holiday message that can be appreciated well beyond one theater, one night, in one city. Thank you Nicolas, for sharing yourself with us, becoming part of our community, and helping the Marines and the children of Las Vegas.
